Amber Laughy
Amber teaches on and off the bike...in the cycle studio and in the gym. SPLIT and Tone are her jam! Her workouts are challenging and innovative. Get bored with your workouts? Come see Amber, she will give you a variety workout every time. Her love of fitness began with a brief stint as a college cheerleader. While cheering wasn't for her, she found Spin and was hooked. Her passion for fitness is contagious and she loves challenging her fLEX Family to push themselves.

Chandra Mogensen
Chandra arrived in Lex and took fLEX by storm! She has amazing energy and brings her passion for helping people to every class. She jams on the bike in Rhythm and in the gym for SPLIT and Tone. Her team style workouts and partner challenges make her classes fun and unique. Not to mention she knows how to throw down a killer burn!

Cate Crosbie
Cate Crosbie is full of energy and inspiration. Her Rhythm 45 has you up out of your saddle and grooving in your seat. She is an avid indoor cyclist and brings energy to each and every class. It doesn’t matter if it is your first spin class, or your 100th because her entire class shares their energy and enthusiasm, and they ride as one. She is from Lexington, KY. To say she loves spin would be an understatement. She started in 8th grade and has been a certified spin instructor since her sophomore year in high school. She is thrilled to be part of the FLEX community!

Anne Rodgers
Anne Rodgers is from Charleston South Carolina. She graduated from Washington and Lee in 2020 and is a current law student. She teaches ride 45 with a mix of hills, sprints, and choreography. She first started coming to fLEX when she was a junior in college and fell in love with the supportive community she found that always pushed her to be her best. As an instructor, she tries to mix in challenging and fun, but most of all keep it grounded in community - we thrive together!

Erin Hughes
Erin Hughes graduated from Washington and Lee in 2021 and is now the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Erin played basketball her whole life, so when her playing days came to and end, she fell in love with the high energy, team environment spin classes created. She began teaching her own classes a few months ago and strives to create s supportive environment that pushes each individual to their potential.

AK Sherman
AK is from Mobile, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama in 2020. She is currently a law student at W&L. She teaches Rhythm 45 to get you riding to the beat in and out of the saddle. She has been coming to fLEX since her first year in Lexington and is so thankful to be a part of this supportive community!

Personal Trainer | Senior Fitness
Tanya Besmehn
Tanya Besmehn is a newcomer to Lexington, Virginia, having relocated from Dana Point, California in August of 2020. She and her husband built a home in the tranquil community of Saddle Ridge and plan to stay put in their newfound sanctuary. Tanya has been a fitness enthusiast since her early teens and became a personal trainer in 2001. She served as Director of Fitness at the Country Club of Fairfax in Northern, Virginia before relocating to California to serve as Wellness Director and Head of Life Enrichment for Kisco Senior Living. Tanya has assisted hundreds of individuals intent on improving strength, balance and endurance from ages 12 to 90. Her individualized approach to setting and reaching fitness goals aids in seeing her clients to a successful outcome. In addition to fitness, her background in nutrition helps in maintaining a sound and sustainable approach to eating and a healthy relationship with food. She believes that a safe and realistic exercise regimen, combined with good nutrition are key in enjoying optimum wellness.

Kiersten Donahue
Kiersten's Ride is solid and she rocks out to great tunes. Her connection between nutrition and body mechanics makes her an excellent instructor. Her approachability makes her a great person. She loves people, strength training, moving to music, cycling, the earth's natural resources, science fiction, and having fun! She's a mom of two grown kids and teaches high school science. She can't wait to meet you and have fun together in the studio and working together towards a better you!

Leyla Hatfield
Leyla Hatfield teaches Tone 45 and Cardio Core in the GymnBox. She is from Charleston, WV and is an undergraduate at Washington and Lee. Leyla incorporates her background in dance and gymnastics to create an energetic and empowering barre inspired Cardio Core class. Her Tone 45 is a mix of high-intensity cardio and strength training, leaving you feeling lively and strong. To Leyla, exercise is a time to explore your inner strength and pay homage to your physical capabilities. She is thrilled to be a part of the fLEX family and can't wait to get stronger together!

Bella Hodge
Bella Hodge is in her sophomore year at Washington and Lee, where she is on the equestrian team. She started at fLEX as a client and couldn't wait to join our team. She teaches Cardio Core and loves getting to meet all the amazing members of the fLEX community. She's from Lexington, KY and loves all things exercise. You can often find her in the morning spin class, if she's not on the gym teaching her own class. She is training for the NYC marathon next year. She can't wait to meet you in the gym to move with you.

Elizabeth Marshall
Elizabeth Marshall exudes an energy that is contagious. Her classes challenge your body on the bike and push you in the most fun way. She enjoys connecting with her people and watching them grow. She is a member of the riding team at Washington and Lee, where is is a rising sophomore. She can't wait to share her love of movement with you.

Lauren Stevenson
Erin Weyen has a passion for teaching and a love for music that make her classes fun, exciting, and challenging every time. In her class, you will climbing heavy hills, sprint it out, and everything in between. You will always leave the studio sweaty and ready to take on whatever comes your way. Originally from Clifton Forge, VA, Erin has been back in the area for several years to join W&L as the coordinator of the Center of International Education. She has taught many formats, including strength and group fitness, but her love for spinning has led her to a fLEX Fitness. She is thrilled to be a part of the fLEX family and can't wait to meet you all!

Austin Winslow
Austin is from Charlottesville, VA and is a freshman at W&L. She loves high intensity workouts, but is also invested in the power of strength training and its functional applications to life. Put together, her classes make for a workout that will challenge you aerobically, but also help you to build strength to go through life as your best self. Coming from a tournament tennis background, she has worked with coaching over the past three summers, and is excited to apply her skills to the gym at FLex.

Phil Dunlap
Phil Dunlap a former fighter who for over 25 years ran a school / fight team The Asylum Fight Gym in the NY metro area training countless fighters who competed in Mixed Martial Arts, Submission Grappling, and Thai Boxing prior to having to close the school due to severe health issues. Phil is the recognized lineage holder in the Kachin arts from Northern Burma. He was trained in the Kachin Fighting Systems by his grandfather William "Wild Bill" O'Shaunessy,
