Rock Steady Boxing - Coach | Senior Fitness
Elizabeth Apperson
In 2020, Elizabeth moved to Lexington from northern Virginia where she worked as a trainer in a boxing/kickboxing gym. Although she received a BS in Criminal Justice from George Mason University, her passion is exercise and sharing that enthusiasm of feeling good and healthy from a great workout! What she loves most about coaching others is watching clients realize they can do so much more than they ever imagined.
Elizabeth loves the intensity of a boxer’s training. When she learned that that forced intensity can help people with Parkinson’s disease, she knew she wanted to be a part of it! She studied, trained, and became certified as a head coach for Rock Steady Boxing, an exercise program solely for people with Parkinson’s.
She has three family members who were diagnosed with PD, one with early onset, so it’s a very personal mission for her. Elizabeth wants to help as many people as she can here in Rockbridge and beyond feel better and stronger!
