Amber Laughy
Amber teaches on and off the bike...in the cycle studio and in the gym. SPLIT and Tone are her jam! Her workouts are challenging and innovative. Get bored with your workouts? Come see Amber, she will give you a variety workout every time. Her love of fitness began with a brief stint as a college cheerleader. While cheering wasn't for her, she found Spin and was hooked. Her passion for fitness is contagious and she loves challenging her fLEX Family to push themselves.

Chandra Mogensen
Chandra arrived in Lex and took fLEX by storm! She has amazing energy and brings her passion for helping people to every class. She jams on the bike in Rhythm and in the gym for SPLIT and Tone. Her team style workouts and partner challenges make her classes fun and unique. Not to mention she knows how to throw down a killer burn!

Erin Hughes
Erin Hughes graduated from Washington and Lee in 2021 and is now the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Erin played basketball her whole life, so when her playing days came to and end, she fell in love with the high energy, team environment spin classes created. She began teaching her own classes a few months ago and strives to create s supportive environment that pushes each individual to their potential.

Personal Trainer | Senior Fitness
Tanya Besmehn
Tanya Besmehn is a newcomer to Lexington, Virginia, having relocated from Dana Point, California in August of 2020. She and her husband built a home in the tranquil community of Saddle Ridge and plan to stay put in their newfound sanctuary. Tanya has been a fitness enthusiast since her early teens and became a personal trainer in 2001. She served as Director of Fitness at the Country Club of Fairfax in Northern, Virginia before relocating to California to serve as Wellness Director and Head of Life Enrichment for Kisco Senior Living. Tanya has assisted hundreds of individuals intent on improving strength, balance and endurance from ages 12 to 90. Her individualized approach to setting and reaching fitness goals aids in seeing her clients to a successful outcome. In addition to fitness, her background in nutrition helps in maintaining a sound and sustainable approach to eating and a healthy relationship with food. She believes that a safe and realistic exercise regimen, combined with good nutrition are key in enjoying optimum wellness.

Ride 45
Jack Perryman
Jack is a second-year law student at Washington and Lee. While originally from St. Louis, MO, he calls Lexington home now and loves the community here. Jack first came to the bike after a lacrosse injury in college. He loves the ability to get a low impact, high energy, burn-it-out workout within 45 minutes.
Jack's classes focus on building strength and athleticism for functional movement off the bike. His rides will push you through challenging hill and interval sets, with arms sections for a full-body workout.
Outside of school and the gym, Jack enjoys cooking, reading, and making the most of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Tumbling - Beginner and Intermediate
Hallee Gwilliams
Hallee just moved to Lex from Huntington, West Virginia to attend Mountain Gateway Community College. She grew up in Lexington before moving to West Virginia. She did gymnastics at Prestige Gymnastics in Roanoke from ages 5-8. After moving to WV, she did gymnastics at Bozhi's Gymnastics through middle school. During her junior year of high school, she joined the high school varsity cheer team and was named one of the elite tumblers on my team. Her senior year, she was named an elite tumbler again while also taking on the responsibilities of being Cheer Captain. For two consecutive years, her team competed at the State Competition and in Orlando for the Gameday National Competition.
She has been teaching gymnastics at Amp Gymnastics in Huntington, WV, as a gymnastics and tumbling instructor. Working with kids on tumbling is something she loves doing because there is always so much to work on. Also, teaching kids to improve on something they already love helps push her to make sure they reach their desired goals.

Bella Hodge
Bella Hodge is in her sophomore year at Washington and Lee, where she is on the equestrian team. She started at fLEX as a client and couldn't wait to join our team. She teaches Cardio Core and loves getting to meet all the amazing members of the fLEX community. She's from Lexington, KY and loves all things exercise. You can often find her in the morning spin class, if she's not on the gym teaching her own class. She is training for the NYC marathon next year. She can't wait to meet you in the gym to move with you.

Caroline Massie
Caroline exudes an energy that is contagious. Her classes challenge your body on the bike and push you in the most fun way. She enjoys connecting with her people and watching them grow. She is a third year law student. She can't wait to share her love of movement with you.

Austin Winslow
Austin is from Charlottesville, VA and is a freshman at W&L. She loves high intensity workouts, but is also invested in the power of strength training and its functional applications to life. Put together, her classes make for a workout that will challenge you aerobically, but also help you to build strength to go through life as your best self. Coming from a tournament tennis background, she has worked with coaching over the past three summers, and is excited to apply her skills to the gym at FLex.

Maggie Moats
Maggie has an infectious energy that shines through while she is dancing. Her class is a workout in disguise because you're having so much fun. A combination of great music and creative dance moves, it's a great way to get a workout.

Lauren Stevenson
Lauren Stevenson has a passion for teaching and a love for music that make her classes fun, exciting, and challenging every time. In her class, you will climbing heavy hills, sprint it out, and everything in between. You will always leave the studio sweaty and ready to take on whatever comes your way. Originally from Dallas, Lauren is entering her senior year at Washington and Lee. Her love for spinning led her to fLEX Fitness and she knew she had to get on the podium as an instructor. She is thrilled to be a part of the fLEX family and can't wait to meet you all!

Phil Dunlap
Phil Dunlap a former fighter who for over 25 years ran a school / fight team The Asylum Fight Gym in the NY metro area training countless fighters who competed in Mixed Martial Arts, Submission Grappling, and Thai Boxing prior to having to close the school due to severe health issues. Phil is the recognized lineage holder in the Kachin arts from Northern Burma. He was trained in the Kachin Fighting Systems by his grandfather William "Wild Bill" O'Shaunessy,
